ZB MED Twitter-Challenge for the Open Access Week 2020

Like every year in October the international Open Access Week is taking place and for this year’s Open Access Week, held October 19-25, we started a challenge on Twitter asking: “Why are you supporting Open Access?”

For ZB MED, Open Access, the unlimited and free access to scientific information, and Open Science, the opening of the entire research process, are important fields of action: We promote open, reproducible research based on the principles of open science and FAIR data.

Reasons for supporting Open Access:

  • ZB MED – Information Centre for Life Sciences:

“We support #OpenAccess because #OpenScience needs good infrastructures.”

  • Prof. Dr. Ursula Arning, Head of the Department Open Science at ZB MED:

„I support OA because because it brings together researchers worldwide.“
